Bridges Out of Poverty for Volunteers
Free training designed to help volunteers (and others) improve relationships with individuals living in poverty. Participants will receive information on the causes of poverty and the barriers faced by people working to move out of poverty into economic stability. The training will increase understanding of the role played by economic class differences among people and groups. Training is at Breakthrough (Episcopal Social Services), 1010 N. Main from 10 am to 3 pm, includes free lunch and Bridges Out of Poverty book. Thank you to the Kansas Volunteer Commission.
