Make the Season Brighter for Your Favorite Nonprofits

If you’ve been caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, worry not. You still have time to make a year end gift to your favorite nonprofit organizations. Before opening up the wallet consider these tips.

Get Personal
Seek out organizations that you personally believe in, strengthen your community or could benefit those closest to you. Make sure the organization has passionate and visionary leaders.

Check Them Out
After you’ve narrowed your organizations, conduct some additional research. Check out their website or give them a call, review their annual report and ensure they’re fiscally prudent.

What’s In It For You
Many choose to give at the end of the year to improve their personal finances. Talk with a financial advisor to see what benefits you can gain beyond the joy of helping your favorite charities.

Armed with this information, you’re ready to make smart giving decisions. And remember that any amount can make a tremendous difference in our community. We wish you the happiest of holiday seasons and all the best in the year ahead.
