Curtis' challenges with his bipolar disorder were helped by Breakthrough's Clubhouse and he's able to lead a more stable life.

Curtis’ Journey to Recovery

My story began in May 2018.
I was homeless, and my bipolar disorder was more intense than ever.  Daily suicidal thoughts caused frequent visits to a local mental health crisis center. It was there that a therapist suggested I apply to Breakthrough Clubhouse. I knew that Breakthrough would be a good place for me, and it is.
I feel supported here! Before, my choices around housing had never really worked out. But by choosing payee services (assistance with managing income), I was able to live a stable life and obtain housing.  What I especially like is that members make decisions about the Clubhouse side-by-side with the staff.
I belong.
Now is your chance to help others like Curtis.
Please give now to our fundraiser, Journeys to Recovery, so we can continue to provide opportunities for those yearning for change.
